Story of the Wilted Rose

The wilted rose holds good and bad memories. The bad being that this particular rose was taken from a flower arrangement from my Grandfather's funeral. The good being that it was infact taken from his funeral, so it now holds my memories of him.

The rose was actually not meant to be wilted at all. I really wanted to save one of the roses and see if the hairspray theory really worked. But I waited too long and by time I got the chosen rose, it was partially wilted. So I glossed it over with hairspray and have done so a few times since and it has somehow managed to survive since.

Therefore, Wilted Rose Photography was created, in memory of Michael Clark.

"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal."

Killdeer Babies

A killdeer decided to make a nest and lay her eggs in our driveway. At least they were smart enough to put it in the center where cars wouldn't run it over, I guess.

The pictures themselves aren't great quality (since they were taken from a distance as the Mama and Papa bird went nuts if you went within a 20-foot radius of the eggs/birds) but they're cute nonetheless. After the first two pictures of the eggs were taken with my Canon, I decided to switch back to my Fuji for high zoom.

Look forward to nature pictures soon as well as some of the kids from a month ago that I have yet to edit.
